THE Proprietors hope that this, the Second Edition of the BUCKINGHAMSHIRE DIRECTORY, will be found superior both in accuracy and extent of information to the edition previously issued. No expense has been spared in collecting the information, experienced agents having visited every city, town, village, and hamlet throughout the county; and the information so collected has been compiled with the greatest attention.
In the present volume the General Index will be found greatly extended: and they have introduced a list of principal Seats throughout the county; the nearest Money Order Office has been added to every village not having a. Money Order Office, and a superior classification has been adopted. In making these statements, the Proprietors have to thank those Clergymen and other Gentlemen who have given the work the benefit of their local knowledge by the assistance rendered to the agents while collecting the information.
