Wayman Family Wills 1383-182130-01-2016

The name of Wayman in the Teutonic form Wigmund occurs in England as early as ad. 725, in which year a prelate of that name was Abbot of Worcester; half-a-century later another Wigmund filled the See of York, and from 895—910 another was Bishop of Lichfield. The name is cocrnate ' with Wigmaer, Wymarc or Wihomare, one of whom was Abbot of Westminster in the year 969.
